19th Century Schoolhouse

Once a month, Linda Knee dresses up as a 19th century schoolteacher and gives a small group of students a glimpse into what it was like to be a student back then. I got to photograph the first-through-fifth graders dressed in their bonnets, churning butter and writing on their personal chalkboards. The light coming in from the windows was difficult to balance with the overhead tungsten, but a good learning experience.
Now that I'm interning for El Sentinel, the Sun-Sentinel's Spanish weekly, I'll have lots of
cover art and opportunities to shine (I hope).
