We arrived early this morning, though, and have only first impressions.
It's quiet here. The fresh mountain air and small town atmosphere keep bad smells and dust at bay. This is the home of Tibetan refugees and the Dalai Lama, the streets are lined with Tibetan handicrafts for sale, signs in a new language, and the influence of Tibetan Buddhism prevails.
