It rained today, so I went looking for features and found these construction guys. This weekend is the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade so they were building a grandstand and erecting tents for it. There's something interesting about construction sites that always catches my eye. Its strange. The graphic compositions are everywhere- lines, space, light and the people intertwined with the elements. But its also the idea of something big being created by people who are generally working class. Tons of money gets poured into these projects, including the architect's design, the corporation's demands, etc, then these guys do all the dirty work. Could be part of my desire to connect with people outside the bubble I grew up in. Then again, that's probably a major contributing factor in why I decided on journalism.
